Be sure to ask to see their cellar of back vintages that is under the home, quite a site to see and may be a nice break from the heat as the ambient temperature in there appeared to be in the low 60's, high 50's to me. as their winery property is on the fire line. With our tasting, we were also provided with some olives, nuts, and I think crackers a mini picnic if you will! There was a beautiful beagle mix dog that spent a lot of time with us, hiding out under our table and just adding to the delight of our day. As his plane descended into cell service, he discovered that an off-duty fire truck two hours south of Scribe, in the Mariani family seat of Santa Clara, had arrived to spare the winery’s structures in what felt like agrarian karma.
